Des Moines, Iowa: Amazone has announced that its ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread precision fertilizer spreader will be available in the United States. Designed to deliver optimized automated spreading, the machine combines precision application technologies with automation to help growers improve nutrient placement, maximize efficiency, reduce inputs and support data-driven farming operations .

Optimized Fertilizer Distribution

AutoSpread monitors the spread pattern of the fertilizer and automatically adjusts settings to help achieve optimal distribution. The system uses sensors to measure the throwing direction and throwing distance of the fertilizer to determine the spread pattern and adjust the spreader automatically .

AutoSpread integrates headland control, wind control and section control to determine switch-on and switch-off points. Continuous validation of the spread pattern through an online connection to the Amazone Spreader Application Center saves time by reducing spreader testing in the field. Collected data is compared with known spread patterns using an artificial intelligence-supported algorithm that detects incorrect fertilizer settings. Spread pattern monitoring also allows the detection of worn or defective spreading vanes .

Border Spreading

New software in the ZA-TS 01 is designed so the operator can enter the desired distance to the field boundary and drive off. The spreader automatically calculates the correct settings to match the parameters. A diagram on the terminal visualizes the distribution at the boundary, and the software adjusts the working width as appropriate, both in the GPS view and in the documentation .

Curve Spreading

Cornering compensation on the ZA-TS 01 Ultra is provided by CurveControl, which adjusts the lateral distribution to correct the movement of the spread pattern when driving around bends at various speeds. A sensor mounted on the spreader detects acceleration and swiveling movement, adjusting the delivery point in real time as well as the shutter slide. This steers the spread fan and guides it behind the spreader to minimize under- and over-fertilization .

Market Recognition and Availability

The ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread made its U.S. market debut at the 2026 MAGIE show in Bloomington, Illinois, where it won the ShowStopper Award — voted “best in show” by attendees . Marc Heater, Head of Product and Marketing for Amazone North America, said: “Winning the ShowStopper Award is especially meaningful because it reflects the response of the retailers, applicators and ag professionals who came to MAGIE to see what is next for the industry” .

The ZA-TS 01 AutoSpread full market launch will take place in 2027 .
